January 2024
January’s designation in the U.S. as Mental Wellness Month focuses us on our own mental wellness as well as the mental wellness of those around us. Since the COVID-19 pandemic, we have made great strides toward defeating the negative stigma associated with mental health awareness and challenges.
Together we can impact the quality of life of our youth by focusing our attention on open conversations about the importance of mental wellness, what helps us to maintain our mental health and the signs and symptoms that we might need some help. With depression and anxiety being among the leading causes of illness and disability among our adolescents, the time is now to turn our attention to resiliency, protection, and detection to help our children.
If you or someone you care about is struggling with mental health or substance use issues contact Hegira Health call 734-458-4601 or visit www.hegirahealth.org.
